Learning How to Stay Sharp at NYU

Yesterday afternoon, close to 75 active agers attended the Staying Sharp event at NYU’s Langone Medical Center, eager to learn more about cognitive health and hear tips for successful aging. We live-tweeted from the session and created a Storify post that includes photos and information about memory, such as how to recognize abnormal cognitive change.

The program was part of braiNY, New York City’s collaborative celebration of Brain Awareness Week. In addition to Staying Sharp, NYU hosted a community brain fair in the adjoining lobby from 2-5 pm.

braiNY continues to promote brain awareness through this week with a variety of events. A free public forum on Alzheimer’s disease, which addresses some of the same topics as Staying Sharp, is happening this Saturday from 1-4pm at Hunter College. Join us!
