About Us

The Dana Foundation is a private philanthropic organization committed to advancing brain research and to educating the public in a responsible manner about research’s potential: (1) to develop a better understanding of the brain and its functions; (2) to speed the discovery of treatments for brain disorders; and (3) to combat the stigma of brain disorders through education.

This blog serves as one of Dana’s many forms of communication with the public. Unlike Dana’s website and publications, however, the blog is not vetted by experts.

We welcome comments to individual posts, but reserve the right to remove those that are inappropriate or promotional spam. Participants who repeatedly post comments of this nature will be permanently blocked from commenting.

The Dana Foundation cannot give medical advice or physician referrals. Please be sure to consult your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
